Coding and Stuff
There’s an update on WoR coming next week! The sponsorship drive is complete and we will be contacting the sponsors now, as well as working things out for the lottery. That will occur over the run of this week, and I’m going to be very busy. Please don’t feel bad if you weren’t selected, we had 65 entries (!) so we just can’t pick them all. There’s gonna be a lot of good ones on the cutting room floor.
Otherwise, I am working on the next patch for RoP. I have completed all of the maps for Mt. Litorea which is 27 maps, and while I’m going to be busy with all this General Manager stuff for WoR this week I can also start work on the raptor quest for Chapter 2.
Stinkehund has been working on our big map, Urimas is making some 3D stuff for WoR, and Koops is hopefully going to be working on some raptor NPCs for the upcoming quests.
No patch this week for RoP, maybe next week. I am currently hesitant to do a patch because the topics system has been overhauled and will require new savefiles unless you’re willing to do debug shenanigans, and that’s not something I take lightly. It’s fine if it’s done between chapters, but you may want to finish any chapter playthroughs you’re in before the next big patch.
Oh and another Tales of Strings is on the way for April.

Pandemonium Development 
With 65 (wow) combined entries, does that include the lottery submissions or is that just how many were willing to be paid sponsors?
And are you able to say how many entries there were for each category? Like how many PCs there were, how many TFs, etc., or is that something the team would rather keep under wraps?
I haven’t seen a community event like this… well, ever, so I’m intrigued by how engaged people were to participate, though I totally understand if it’d be bad form to give an exact breakdown.

I can say how many there were since that doesn’t violate anyone’s privacy. The 65 submissions does include lottery submissions.
Miniboss had 12 entries, 5 of which were lotteries.
NPCs/Events had 15 entries, 8 of which were lotteries.
Playable Character had 10 entries, 5 of which were lotteries.
QuickTF had 9 entries, 6 of which were lotteries.
Transformation had 19 entries, 14 of which were lotteries.

Fascinating! In the case of the Miniboss and NPC/Event categories, it seems there’d be leftover spots. The lottery sponsor was only doing 1 of each category, correct? So will there just be fewer Minibosses and NPCs in the final game or will the team just whip up some stuff wholesale to flesh things out?
I’m curious too if there was anyone other than the mysterious lottery benefactor to sponsor multiple entries, though that proooobably edges a little too close to invading their privacy lol.
Anyway, eagerly awaiting next week’s update, interested in seeing what got plucked from the community!

We will make a few more to fill in gaps on our own dime. We already had plans for a couple characters from Inky’s extended lore so maybe a few more of those will show up.
